Useful posts. Honest experiences.
Beyond the Classroom is for teachers sharing ideas and experiences about improving their finances. Write in English and explain where your experience applies.
What to share
A useful idea, something you tried, a lesson, or an actual result. Explain relevant costs, time, uncertainty and local rules in your own words. An idea is not proof of earnings, and someone else's result is not a guarantee.
Jobs, services and résumés are not allowed
A post will be denied or removed if it:
- Posts or advertises a job, recruitment opportunity or vacancy for an employer.
- Promotes an employer’s services or any third-party product or service, including referral and affiliate links.
- Contains a teacher’s résumé or CV, a job-seeking advertisement, or a request for employment.
Copied articles, student information, private documents and misleading earnings claims are also prohibited. Disclose any commercial relationship relevant to your post.
How publication works
Save a draft or submit for review. The admin may make minor edits preserving your meaning, deny or delete a submission, or approve publication. Responses and updates also need approval. A pending update never changes the live post. Your chosen public name appears with published content; if you leave it blank, we use your account’s first name and last name initial. Existing anonymous attribution stays unchanged. Your account link and moderation history stay private.
Optional emails
You can choose to receive an email when your post is published or receives an approved reply. When writing a response, you can choose an email when that response is published. The email checkbox starts checked for new posts and responses; uncheck it if you do not want these emails. Saved choices are preserved. Each notification includes a link to stop emails for that post.
Corrections or removal
Use the SeriousTeachers Support and identify the post. There is no separate request portal. Admin deletion permanently removes the selected content and its linked records from the active database. Deleting a post also removes its entire discussion. This does not remove existing database backups, delivered emails, or copies held by search engines or other websites.
