Sylvan Learning Centre
Details: ONLY APPLICANTS THAT CURRENTLY RESIDE IN CANADA!
*Teaches students on a 1:3 ratio utilizing Sylvan based programs.
*Responsible for learning the programs taught at Sylvan. (academic reading and basic math)*
* Greets students and exhibits a personal interest in them as individuals, and is aware of students’ special interests.
* Interacts with students as they work with equipment and materials.
* Evaluates progress for each completed assignment and records evaluation in student notebooks as necessary during the instructional hour. Updates notes and special issues daily.
* Praises and encourages students with sincere enthusiasm.
* Rewards students with a token immediately for any completed assignment. Enters tokens in checkbooks at end of instructional hour. Communicate student’s needs to the Director of Education.
* Maintains centre order by seeing that all students at the table are supervised and engaged in constructive learning.
* Ensures that students leave the centre promptly at the end of instruction.
* Attends monthly staff meetings, as well as initial and ongoing trainings.
* Attends public relations activities in the centre (e.g., teacher party).
* Maintains a positive attitude and demonstrates enthusiasm for the job and for the company.
