Counselor at English Immersion Camp

Details: American Village camps are linguistic immersion camps for French children 8 to 17 years old. We seek dynamic, creative and energetic individuals, 18 to 35 years old, as counselor/teachers to communicate in English, not only in the classroom, but through various activities, culture and sports. Counselors are hired for two to three month positions (from late March until the end of August). Candidates must be hard-working, organized and prepared to work long days with children. They should be enthusiastic about teaching songs, organizing arts & crafts, participating in skits and playing sports. Musicians are very welcome, and MALE CANDIDATES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.
Since English is the official language at our camps, knowledge of French is NOT necessary. In addition,TEFL certification is not required.
Remember, we are not a language school, but a linguistics immersion camp. As such, we emphasize education through cultural exchange, in an environment that is both secure and fun!
American Village operates ten diiferent sites throughout France. Our sites are located in small, quiet villages situated in the countryside, in the mountains or by the sea. Counselors get to know the REAL France!
We provide: Work permits for North American, Australian and NZ citizens; Full room and board; Accident/Liability insurance; and Two free nights at a hotel in the center of Paris.
