Details: The National School of Aleppo, an internationally accredited school is currently seeking three qualified elementary teachers to handle English, Math, and Science duties, and one middle/upper school Math/Science teacher for an expanding K-11 school in Aleppo, Syria. These positions will commence in mid-August, 2008. We will be in our new facility this coming school year.
We are an American curriculum school with international accreditation, and we offer a competitive salary and benefits package. NSA offers a very competitive tax-free staring salary, along with free furnished housing in an exclusive neighborhood, annual round-trip airfare from point of hire, health insurance, reimbursement for reasonable excess baggage, etc. There is a substantial potential for savings depending on your lifestyle.
We operate on the American system which means you will work a ten month teaching schedule while being paid for twelve. You will be offered a two month summer vacation along with all the other holidays. ie. (two weeks at Christmas, one week Easter, plus all the Muslim holidays).
NSA plans to open a new multi-million dollar school building this school year, and we will add a grade level each year and plan to graduate our first class at the end of SY 2010.
We are accepting applications for the 2008-2009 school year. Successful candidates will need to report by August 15, 2008. We will provide the airline ticket upfront.
Only those candidates with a degree in the teaching field or teaching certification will be considered. Also, due to cultural and other regulations only those with American, Canadian, or British nationalities need apply.
Aleppo, Syria is the oldest inhabited city in the world. Aleppo is full of history, wonderful people, a low-cost of living, and great food. You will enjoy your time here.
