Details: We are looking for outgoing, motivated, volunteers to work as tutors and teaching assistants in First Nations communities in the north of Canada. Most of our projects are in small, remote, First Nations communities in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Our projects begin in late August and early September and the volunteers are required to commit for the full school year, through to the end of June. Frontiers Foundation pays for the volunteer’s travel within Canada (people from overseas are required to cover their own travel to and from Canada). We also cover all of the volunteer’s food and living expenses, insurance costs, and provide winter clothing. There is also a small stipend of $50 a week for spending money. This is an extrermely challenging and unique opportunity to learn about another way of life and to experience a different culture.
