Details: English and Social Studies Teachers needed for January 2012
Colegio Americano del Sur (s.edu.gt) in Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa, Guatemala is seeking native speakers to teach English and Social Studies starting in January 2012. We are a 400 student, Nursery through 12th grade, bilingual school that is accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Candidates must have a university degree with teaching certification and experience preferred but not necessary. Our salaries range from 1200-1600 per month, a local health care plan, housing, travel and end of year bonus which allows for ample savings and amazing travel opportunities throughout the region. CAS has a beautiful campus and excellent work environment. We are predominantly a Guatemalan staff with approximately 10 North American teachers. The most interesting feature of our school is our experimental status we enjoy with the Guatemalan Ministry of Education. This gives us the academic freedom to utilize a variety of cutting edge ¨best practices¨.
