Details: The Board of Colegio El Camino, is searching for a Headmaster/Principal to lead El Camino.
El Camino has been in existence for nearly 30 years and is the oldest and most prestigious private school in Cabo San Lucas with nearly 350 students. A pioneer not only in internationally aware teaching but also in bi-lingual education, El Camino will afford the candidate a solid foundation on which to launch the next phase of the school’s evolution:
shaping not just bi-lingual but totally bi-cultural and globally aware students and families through affiliation/certification with IB and/or AdvancedED.
The Headmaster/Principal is the academic, philosophical and moral leader of our school responsible for providing direction in achieving academic excellence, discipline, moral rectitude and civic responsibility as well as for the efficient functioning of the school from an administrative standpoint in order to develop a well rounded, highly competent and responsible human being.
We are looking for a globally minded, locally conscious education professional with strong communication skills to inspire the staff, students and families associated with the school to contend for and achieve the top academic position in the state of Baja California Sur and eventually the country.
A truly inclusive view of education is highly desired in order to produce profound improvements in the school’s community as exemplified by regular meetings with students/parents and teachers around each to maximize continuos and comprehensive improvement.

Organizational/Professional Qualities being sought:
Post Graduate Degree preferred
Experience in AdvancedED and/or IB program (particularly MYP and Diploma Programs) At least 5 years experience in directing and managing educational programs Fully Bilingual in Spanish and English, fluency in French would be additionally advantageous Leadership Team Building Strong Administrative skills centered around financial awareness necessary to run an institution Fundraising experience
