Details: Kiwnegwa Nursery , Primary School is looking for a dedicated, experianced, and
creative teacher to take charge of the preschool/pre primary program. The
teaching and learning at KINS is based on 3 principles: cooperative learning, arts
integration, and individualized instruction. We strongly believe that using these
methods helps to create thoughtful well rounded individuals ready for the world
ahead and we are looking for a teacher who can share in this vision and become
part of our strong school community. This is a demanding position requiring
initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm and we do not have the financial resources
to offer high salaries. To work with us you must be in it solely for the love of
children and teaching. For the right candidate this is an amazinag opportunity to
work at an educationally progressive school and build your own classroom
program. The ability to collaboriate is necissary as are excellent English skills (we
prefer native English speakers).
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have at least three years experiance and be able to cater to
multiple age groups and abilitiy levels in one class.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English, native English speaker is
preferred.
- Must be comfortable and willing to work with children between 2 and 10 years
of age.
- Must be an experienced teacher, TESOL/TEFL training is a big plus.
- Must be able to write/create learning goals and lesson plans that cater to
specific student needs and conduct
appropriate assessments.
- Must be flexible and willing to fill in and assist as needed at the school.
- Must be willing to collaborate and communicate with other teachers.
Shared housing in Kiwengwa or travel expenses for transport from town is
provided and work permits/visas will be arranged and paid for by the school.
