A small private school in Bahía de Caráquez, Manabí, Ecuador seeks an English teacher for the 2013-2014 school year, beginning April 1. Unidad Educativa Génesis offers a competitive salary, one month of free temporary housing, internet access and the benefits of working in a small, safe, modern town on the beach.
Key job functions:
- Teaching English to four grade levels from elementary to high school
- Contributing to and participating in school events (i.e. Family Day, Open House and Spelling Bee)
- Conducting English language communications and outreach (online and within the local community) for the affiliated Genesis Foundation of Ecuador
- Coordinating the Genesis Foundation of Ecuador’s volunteer program
The ideal candidate:
- Is a native English speaker.
- Is proficient or fluent in Spanish.
- Has a college degree in a relevant field (education, communications, English, Spanish, etc.).
- Has experience working with children.
- Is highly organized, and can prioritize tasks independently.
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills.
