Details: Three (3) Native-English Teachers Needed for Erbil, Kurdistan for Mid-November 2013 and January 12th, 2014
British International Institute, the largest private English school in Kurdistan, is looking for Native English Speakers only (UK, USA, Australia, Canada) to teach full-time in the modern city of Erbil (capital of Kurdistan) for Academic English as well as general, conversational, 1-on-1, Business English, and TOEIC preparation. Kurdistan is an extremely safe and pro-western section of Northern Iraq. The regional government is secular and the people are more liberal than the rest of the Middle East.
Teaching and preparation hours are up to 40 hours per week (lessons are already planned); Contracts are for one year (12 months). The faculty primarily consists of native-English speaking female foreigners. The school is located across the street from the Royal Mall which has a food court with Western, Chinese, Indian, Turkish and local cuisine. The mall also has a supermarket with western food. BII also owns a radio station and will feature English language programming using its native-English speaking teachers.

Requirements:
•A bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or Education; masters in these fields strongly preferred
•International certification of CELTA or DELTA or equivalent
•Prefer two or more years of experience teaching ESL
•TOEIC or TOEFL training experience is highly desirable
Package:
•Year renewable contract; visa expenses covered
•Private room in a shared, fully-furnished, modern house with washing machine – 10 minutes from the Institute; all utilities, including internet, paid by school; each private room has its own television, internet, and mini-fridge
•Salary between $1800 to $2000 (net, tax-free), depending on relevant experience and qualifications; additional projects for more compensation may become available
•Three weeks of paid vacation, after the first six months, in coordination with the school
•Round-trip flight reimbursement paid upon completion of the one-year contract
