Details: Gangwon International Language Institute is seeking full time Native speaking English teachers that can begin March 1st.
GILI is a provincial language center located on the beach in Yang Yang county of Gangwon province. Yang Yang is located north of Gangneung city and just east of Seoraksan National Park.

2. Contract Period: March 2014 ~ February 2015 (1 year)
3. Position details:
A. Teacher training position: individually responsible for a writing course as part of a comprehensive in-service training program of elementary and secondary public school English teachers.
a. Applicants for this position should have experience teaching adults in an academic setting.
b. Applicants should be able to provide sample lesson plans from previous classes teaching adults.
c. Applicants should be prepared to provide example lesson plans for the writing class during the interview stage of the application process.
d. Applicants with degrees in writing are preferred.
B. English camp position: working as part of a team of international instructors teaching one day and three day camps for elementary and secondary students. Additionally, the teacher will hold conversation classes with English teachers online.
a. Applicants for this position should have positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitudes.
b. Applicants with camp experience (i.e. summer camp) are preferred.
c. Applicants with experience working with elementary and secondary students in Korea are preferred.
C. Community outreach position: working very closely with a team of international and Korean teachers travelling throughout the province and holding one day camps at elementary schools.
a. Applicants should have experience working with children
b. Applicants should be cooperative and able to work in a close environment with a team.
c. Applicants should be comfortable travelling and sleeping away from home on a regular basis.
4. Qualifications:
A. Must be a native speaker and citizen of a predominantly English speaking country.
B. Applicants with English Education degrees and experience in teaching and a firm knowledge of teaching methodology are preferred.
C. Applicants must have a good understanding of Korean culture in general, and especially of Korean culture in the workplace.
D. Applicants should be in good health and positive attitude.
E. Applicants must meet standard applicable visa requirements (E-2).

5. Benefits:
A: Salary: 2.5-3.0 million won a month, depending on qualifications.
B: Vacation: 20 days
