Lead Teachers in English / Mathematics and Science

We are excited to announce that we are looking for three subject leaders in English, Maths and Science to help develop our educational work at the Craig Bellamy Foundation Academy in Sierra Leone. These positions will also have additional responsibilities such as managing pastoral care, or the CBF Academy house system.
We are a football academy with 32 boarding students aged11-18. Our boys are the country’s best young talent in football but are also eager learners in the classroom.
With a similar school year to the UK we support students for five years through their secondary education. We have small class sizes and pupils that are keen to learn.
We can also offer teachers lots of professional challenges as we work with a wide range of abilities with some students working on their early learning skills and others doing IGCSE courses.
Set in a stunning mountain location with sea views we are ten minutes away from some of the best beaches in the world. We are ideally placed for you to be able to explore what is a peaceful, vibrant, lively and beautiful country. You will be responsible for managing the planning, evaluation and curriculum for your subject area and you will also support any local staff and graduate volunteers within your department. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to develop middle management skills in a unique setting.
