Details: International Language Center of Chachapoyas, Peru is seeking dedicated,
conscientious teachers to join our international team. ILC is currently teaching
English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish to students of all ages,
including business professionals. We are also teaching Peruvian English teachers
and tourism-related workers through a cooperative program with the US Embassy.
TEFL certified applicants and experienced teachers will be paid a stipend that will
cover food, lodging and incidental costs. Additionally, daily Spanish lessons
taught by a qualified Spanish instructor are included at no cost. We have a
supportive and dynamic group of people from all over the world on our faculty who
make our school a fun and interesting place to work.
Chachapoyas is the capital of the Amazonas region (state) in northern Peru, and
the center of a burgeoning tourism industry. Situated at 7500 feet above sea level,
our beautiful city of 28,000 (est.) is surrounded by verdant mountainsides and
blessed with a temperate year-round climate. The region is rich in pre-Inca
archaeological sites and recreational opportunities. Chachapoyas is renowned as
the safest, friendliest and most charming small town in Peru. Numerous
restaurants, entertainment venues, health care facilities, lodging choices, and
tourism opportunities make Chacha a prized destination for our teaching staff.
