Details: Columbia International College Taiwan is seeking qualified ESL teachers to teach English in Taiwan.
We are a certified Taiwanese branch of the biggest international boarding school in Canada. Our goal is to provide incomparable opportunities for all students interested in pursuing higher education. Many of our past graduates received acceptance letters upon graduation from world-renowned Canadian universities such as University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, and McMaster University.

The school is situated in a quiet and peaceful location in Longtan Township.
Unlike the bigger cities such as Taipei, where air pollution and noise can be issues, Longtan is a comfortable place to inhabit. The campus includes both the school and student residences as well as a large campus grounds with multiple lakes. There are local free shuttle buses to take you into the city, where you may then take the buses into the more populated and busy areas of Taiwan.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least a bachelor degree
- Must have an official state-issued or provincial-issued teaching license
- Must be qualified to teach secondary school students (Gr. 9-12)
- Must have knowledge of Canadian high school courses (or be willing to follow the style of teaching)
Preferences will be given to teachers who are:
- Flexible to teach courses in multiple fields apart from English and ESL
- Knowledgeable of the Ontario Education System
Airfare will be reimbursed up to $800CAD for a one-way flight. Teachers have the option to live in on-campus residences to save on transportation costs.
Lunch will be provided along with the students in the school cafeteria.
The teachers are expected to work from 8:00am to 4:00pm from Monday to Friday.
Teachers will also be asked to help the students two times a week at night (from 7PM to 9 PM) to ensure proper understanding of the materials taught.
The supplemental teaching nights will only be from Monday to Thursday and will work on a rotational basis with other teachers.
Starting salaries for qualified teachers is $75,000NTD.
