Lead Teacher

Details: I am looking for 4 lead teachers to work at Little Academy Nursery. The candidate has to
be in Doha by August 24th 2015. Of course we will provide full sponsorship and we take
care of all required paperwork/visa. The candidate must have a clean record and a police
clearance. The profile of the teacher is as follows:
•Native English speaking
•A college degree in Early Childhood Education background
•A minimum of 2 years work experience
The job is a full time lead teacher with a renewable annual contract. All our contracts get
authenticated by the labor department. We offer the teachers the following:
•A single room in a shared teacher only accommodation
•Accommodation is fully furnished, including bedding, phone line and internet
•All utilities are provided and paid for by the nursery
•Transportation to and from the nursery
•Salary will depend on the candidate- starting salary is QR8,000
•We provide End of Service Benefit
•Annual airline ticket to and from the home country
•21 days paid vacation per year. We have additional days off like Christmas Eve,
Christmas day, new years, the two official Eid holidays (Eid hits twice a year) and a week
for Easter.
•Medical care through the government hospitals, which are the best hospitals
•Annual review and salary increases
•Pediatric CPR certified. If she is not then we will enroll the candidate into a program to
get certified
Each teacher will work 8 hour shift. Each teacher will have an assistant or two in her
class according to the number of kids.
Job Description
•Plan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives,
developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
•Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child
•Encourage assistants to contribute to curriculum planning
•Prepare monthly plan charts
•Complete bi-annual assessment of children’s development
•Report progress of children to parents in bi-annual reports and through parent-teacher
conferences
•Maintain daily open communication with parents
•Keep accident reports
•Maintain confidentiality
•Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
•Maintain a safe and healthy environment
•Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
•Attend staff meetings and workshops
•Supervise assistants, aides and volunteers in the classroom
•Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and time sheets.
•Meet all applicable licensing regulations
