ELT – ESP – EMP Instructors Needed for 2015 -2016 Academic Year
Bezmialem Vakif University, a medical university located in the historic district of Fatih in
Istanbul, Turkey, is seeking 3 native English language instructors (preferably citizens of
the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia) to work in its Professional English for Medical
Purposes (EMP) Program for the 2015-2016 academic year.
We are looking for teachers with the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in English language teaching (EFL – ESL) or
Communication Sciences with considerable experience in teaching English for Medical
Purposes
OR
• B.S. degree in a health-related discipline such as Nursing, Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Audiology, Nutrition & Dietetics,
Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Medicine, Psychology, Biology, Health Management, Public
Health etc.
• CELTA/DELTA, TESOL or TEFL
• At least 2-3 years of English language teaching experience
• Strong work ethics and professionalism
• Good teamwork skills: being an effective group member
• In addition to general Medical English, having knowledge / teaching experience in
Pharmacy Terminology and Dentistry Terminology is a reason for preference
