Details: Grace Christian Academy is a small Christian International school located in Taipei, Taiwan. We have a range of positions still under consideration for August 2015, including:
Grades 1 and 2
Middle School Social Studies
High School Spanish or French
Athletic Director who is also a P.E. teacher and coach
All teachers are involved in sharing the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, either through morning devotionals, teaching Bible classes, or speaking in chapel.
Grace Christian Academy serves the educational needs of students who hold passports from outside of Taiwan, primarily from business families accustomed to traveling. We are WASC accredited and follow US Common Core Standards. Textbooks are typically from Holt publications. 15/25 teachers are from the US; 2/3 administrators are from the US. Class size is very small; academic core subjects are usually kept under 12 students and may be as small as 2 students. Only about 40% of the students are from Christian families.
Benefits include a 2 year contract, national health insurance, competitive salary, airfare, and housing. We all eat lunch with the students at no cost to us. No crazy cafeteria food here, we eat great meals! I wish I could say that all of our students are turning to Christ, but they aren’t. I wish I could say that they are all angelic MK’s, but they aren’t. We are not a missionary school, but as Christians we are trusting God to use the talents He has given us as educators to demonstrate Christianity to these kids, daily.
