Job Description
Research:
To be engaged in original research to strengthen links with the Department of
Engineering Science.
Securing research funding, managing research projects.
To publish your research and disseminate across journals and conferences.
Teaching:
Carry out teaching of undergraduate/postgraduate students, including lecture classes,
demonstrations and project supervision.
Supervise research students.
Undertake additional duties under direction of Head of Department.
Take an active role in teaching related course module, developing curriculum.
Examination:
Take part in University examinations as and when requested to do so.
Administration:
Participate in the administration as and when requested by the Head of Department.

Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Minimum of 5 years experience.
Provide proof of European Union Citizenship.
Doctorate in the relevant subject (Engineering).
Experience and ability to teach undergraduate and post graduate level students across a
wide range of engineering topics.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Evidence of the ability or potential to provide excellent teaching.
A substantial reputation for scholarship and research in an area of Entrepreneurship
demonstrated by previous achievements e.g. publications in journals.
Have the ability to attract research funding.
Ability to supervise research scholars/graduate students.
Contribute to to the objectives of the Centre for Excellence.
Undertake administration responsibilities.
Desirable:
Interest in developing links with industry.
Experience in research collaboration.
