Details: Looking to retire in lovely and inexpensive surroundings and still continue in the profession you
love? Or are you, perhaps, a newly qualified teacher who would like to add some inter-cultural
experience to your abilities and your resume? We are a small, non-profit JHS/HS in Panajachel, in
the Central Highlands of Guatemala, with about 75 students. We are looking for teachers in a
number of disciplines, including Spanish, ESL, Social Studies, Science and Math. Our classes are
all taught in English (except, of course, Spanish.) We can’t, unfortunately, offer much in the way of
salaries, although they might make a welcome addition to pension/SS. (And enough to live on here
for the adaptable.) But what we do offer is enthusiastic and appreciative students, very reasonable
living costs, some of the most gorgeous scenery in the world, and the opportunity to make a very
