teachers in a broad range of grades and subjects.
Sunway International Schools (SIS) have a strong presence in Malaysia. Located just outside
Kuala Lumpur (KL), SIS Sunway City is an ultra-modern school offering the Ontario (Canada)
curriculum for grades 7-12 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) in
grades 11-12.
In January 2017, Sunway opened a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 school in the new
community of Iskandar, on the Malaysian border with Singapore. SIS Iskandar offers a Junior
Kindergarten to Grade 12 program, with JK-grade 6 based on the Ontario curriculum, IBMYP,
and grades 11-12 offering the IBDP. This school is completing its second year of operation and
has an enrolment of more than 450 students.
All facilities are state-of-the-art, and the student population is highly multi-cultural, and a real treat
to teach. Our schools are regarded as among the finest international schools in south-east Asia.
To begin in January, we require a Deputy Principal (this is a new position), and teachers of the
following: primary, junior and middle school grades, English literature, Art, Drama, Economics,
Accounting, senior Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Humanities and Social Sciences.
Membership in the Ontario (Canada) College of Teachers (OCT) is highly desirable. B.Ed
degrees from Canadian universities will be considered, as will teachers with other B.Eds
combined with suitable IBDP experience.
Where IB certification is required, Sunway will provide training for strong candidates not having
this background.
Life style is attractive and salaries are internationally competitive. The initial contract is for one
year, and is renewable for additional years. All transportation and group medical insurance costs
are covered.
