Assessment or Curriculum Team Member

Required Degrees:
MA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Language
Fields of Expertise: Curriculum Developer, High School, University, Assessment or Curriculum
Salary: $4,000 USD
Details: Duties and Responsibilities for Assessment Team Member:
• Create assessment items and entire exams within the overall framework provided for the program and carefully follow all provided test specifications.
• Create, when needed, test specifications.
• Help with the creation of an Assessment Guide and various other types of documentation that are needed for teachers, students, and stakeholders especially as it relates to the exam types each member is most directly working on.
• Revise items as needed based on internal or external review and feedback and item analysis data.
• Carefully review items written by others against test specifications and provide constructive feedback.
• Actively participate as a team player with the assessment team and with the overall team which is coordinating the project as a whole.
• Actively participate in and contribute to meetings as required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Design curriculum (and later create assessment) within the overall framework provided for the program and supply specific components as mentioned above for specific courses.
• Make changes as requested and needed.
• Actively participate as a team player within the curriculum team, with the assessment team when creating an assessment, and with the overall team which is coordinating the project as a whole.
Educational background:
MA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Language Testing, Assessment, English Language Studies or any related field; preference for candidates with previous experience in item writing and/or assessment design, including candidates with previous experience examining or writing items for any major testing organization (ETS, IELTS, etc).
Work hours: 40 hours a week
