Our school
be.school was born in 2011 from the desire to start a bilingual training course from the earliest years of life, through a modern method in step with the times.
The language in fact depends on the culture that surrounds the child, and not on birth.
With our method, children immerse themselves completely in bilingualism, learning without difficulty to speak in two languages, before compulsory school. Thanks to this, the benefits he will receive as an adult will be manifold.
be.school offers outstanding and innovative bilingual education and care within a full immersion Italian and English setting for children from zero to six years. Our curricular framework is unique! The child initiated and grounded firmly in the expressive arts and creative thinking. Our host city
We are located in Vigevano, 30km from Milan and 30km from Pavia.
In the area of north-east Lomellina, the terraced land that slopes down to the bed of the river Ticino, Vigevano unfolds before the tourists with its suggestive monuments of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. This town, worldwide famous as industrial centre and ”capital” of the footwear production, boasts works of art such as the Ducal square, one the most beautiful piazzas in Italy, and the Castle, that stands out among all others in Lombardy.
The position
We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teacher to join the team. The brief is to work as part of a supportive and innovative pre school and experience working with the EYFS would be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate would be interested in supporting the work of the school through excellent classroom practice.
Essential qualifications for ISE applicants:
A three or four year degree BA in Early Childhood Education and Care or B.ED Early Years Education
OR
B.Ed in Primary Education with specialisation in Early Years and where age group is clearly stated on certification B.Ed Primary (3-11).
OR
Alternatively Undergraduate Degree and PGCE/PGDE (Early years focus)
Colleagues should also:
• Be an English mothertongue speaker (preferred)
• Preferably have experience within an international, bilingual or multilingual context.
• Be enthusiastic and passionate teachers/leaders. A love of the subject and the ability to convey this successfully to students is essential.
• Be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of a valid visa that enables to work in Italy.
