English School Teacher, Azerbaijan (PGCE QTS)

Details: Language Solutions International seeks applications from qualified and experienced native level English speaking Secondary teachers of English language and other subject specialities for international school students to start in August 2022.
Teaching is based in a private International English speaking school teaching school children both English as a Second language and school subject content in English as part of their curriculum. Teachers with recognised teaching qualifications (e.g. PGCE QTS) with backgrounds / good knowledge in the following areas: English Language, Geography, Science, Math, German and ICT have the opportunity to teach content subjects in English. Experience with iGCSE and UK examination boards preferred.
Teachers will work Monday to Friday at the international school with a maximum of 30 teaching hours per week. In addition to standard teaching duties teachers will support with class mounting and after school clubs.
This is a 10-month contract. Start date at school is 26th August 2022 and finishes on 25th June 2023 with opportunities for renewing contracts for additional academic years
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
A PGCE teacher qualification + Qualified Teacher Status or alternative recognized teaching qualification/license.
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
*Original qualifications for work permits must be available and attested.
Recent Police checks required as teachers will be working with children.
Position Requirements:
- Native level speaker of English.
- A can do approach to work and a strong work ethic.
- Good organization skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and students.
- A minimum of 2 years experience and IGCSE experience (and possibly A-level.)
- The ability to motivate and inspire students from a wide range of linguistic backgrounds
- The ability to form and maintain good working relations with colleagues.
PREFERRED
- CAIE, Edexcel or other UK examination board experience
- Two or more years of relevant international experience
- Experience of COIS and COBIS accreditation
- ICT literacy
Salary and Benefits
3800-4000 AZN net per month (after all the deductions)
10 month Contract from 26 Aug 2022 to 25 June 2023
