Burao Academy of Science and Technology Overview:
The school is an independent, non-profit, coeducational, boarding school serving grades 7 through 12, and offering comprehensive education with special focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), as well as practical career training with IT technical certification. Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree or higher
 Experience teaching, lesson planning or supervising children in an education setting
 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
 Ability to adapt to change and be flexible
 Strong subject-matter expertise
Requirements:
 CCNA Certification preferred
 2+ Years of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix
 Computer-building background experience preferred
 General knowledge of laptop / desktop hardware and software including knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS
 Ability to resolve basic / complex problems as directed
 Understand BIOS & Hardware Diagnostics tools

Responsibilities:
 Guide Students through hands-on activities in a class
 Reinforce materials taught in the classroom with practical applications
 Teach approximately 10-12 lesson (45 minutes each) in-person each week
 Prepare lesson plans, create student assessments and record grades in Gradelink, a school management database

Timeline: We are seeking a minimum commitment to complete Burao Academy 2024-2025 academic year, August 2024 through June 2025.
