Parlemt is looking to hire a qualified EFL teacher for a temporary part-time position in Terrassa, nr. Barcelona (Catalonia).
The contract runs from April 2 through to June 21 and it involves teaching a mix of private classes and very small groups (of mainly young learners) at private homes and a local Primary school. Lessons are Monday through Friday in and around the Terrassa area, in the afternoon and early evening. Experience teaching children is a must. Applicants should be creative and enthusiastic about working with Primary children age 6 and upwards. Some familiarity with online teaching (Zoom) and Cambridge exam classes would also be useful.
For timetabling and logistic reasons, this job requires you to live locally (i.e. NOT in Barcelona city). You should expect your weekly teaching load to be around 16-17 contact hours through to the end of May, down to 10-11 in June.
We offer a competitive monthly salary and a supportive environment in a small, well-established, teacher-friendly organisation. Fully-comprehensive health insurance is paid for and included as part of your work contract. We also provide assistance with finding temporary accommodation in the area, if necessary,
Possibility of renewal for 2024-25 and beyond. We always aim to establish long-term working relationships with outstanding teachers.
Please do not apply unless you are either an EU national or have a valid EU work permit. UK nationals can only work in Spain provided they are legal residents holding an NIE/TIE identification number.
We welcome applications from newly-qualified teachers with little or no EFL teaching experience.
Interviews will be conducted via Zoom during March.
