Details: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team of educators. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mathematics curriculum and pedagogy, along with a passion for inspiring students to explore the beauty and relevance of mathematics in their lives. Familiarity with McGraw Hill resources and the Canadian curriculum is highly preferred.
Requirements:
Develop and deliver comprehensive mathematics lesson plans for students across various grade levels, utilizing a range of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Foster a collaborative and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills development.
Integrate technology into mathematics instruction to enhance student engagement and understanding, leveraging tools such as interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online resources.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to guide learning and support academic growth.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, discuss academic concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support student learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum objectives, share best practices, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Stay informed about current trends and developments in mathematics education, integrating new ideas and methodologies into instructional practices.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other pertinent information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience teaching mathematics at the Middle School.
Strong proficiency in mathematics curriculum development and instructional strategies.
Experience integrating technology into mathematics instruction.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
