Canadian Curriculum School
Details: Canadian Curriculum School is seeking multiple dedicated and passionate foreign teachers to join us at our new campus in Saigon and nearby cities, Vietnam from October 2024. The foreign teachers will teach Mathematics/Computer Science courses according to the Ontario and Vietnamese Secondary School Curriculum. Students who successfully complete the program will earn both the Ontario Secondary School Diploma and the Vietnamese High School Diploma.
1. Job description:
• Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach up to 25 periods (45 minutes each) per week in Mathematics/Computer Science for students from Grade 6 to Grade 11.
• Assess and grade student homework, assignments, quizzes, and tests in a timely manner, providing feedback as necessary.
• Hold office hours and review sessions to assist students.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance educational programs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student performance.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in school functions.
• Assist the school during inspections by the Ministry of Education of Ontario or official Vietnamese education agencies.
• Occasionally participate in marketing or teaching events during or outside of regular school hours.
2. Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Computer Science.
• Preference for graduates from Canadian universities.
• Canadian teaching certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching Mathematics/Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of the subject matter and curriculum standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learners.
3. Working conditions and benefits:
• Attractive monthly salary ranging from 2,300 USD to 3,000 USD (Gross), paid in an equivalent amount in VND.
• Income taxes, social benefits, and other deductions will be in accordance with Vietnamese labor laws.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday during regular school hours, with weekends as needed.
• Holidays: All official Vietnamese holidays and 3 weeks of paid vacation during the summer months.
