Details: This is a full-time on-site role for an 4th Grade Homeroom Teacher at Christian American School of Guatemala located just outside of Guatemala City, in San Cristobal. An Upper Elementary Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a developmentally appropriate instructional program in a Christian-based educational environment. The 4th Grade Homeroom Teacher will also supervise children’s activities in the classroom and on the playground, prepare materials and supplies for daily activities, and communicate with parents about their child’s progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Proven experience as an Elementary Teacher
- Excellent knowledge of educational standards and appropriate instructional strategies for school-aged children
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children
- Native English Speaker
- Experience teaching in a Christian-based educational environment is a plus
- Certification or licensure in Early Childhood Education is a plus
- Experience with classroom technology is a plus
