AI-powered learning (MiaMaestra)
Real-world, project-based curriculum
English immersion
Entrepreneurship and life skills
We do not operate like a traditional school.
Our teachers are not lecturers.
They are Academic Coaches responsible for results.
THE #1 PRIORITY: CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION
At Maggio Multicultural Academy, classroom management means:
Students are engaged, accountable, and producing work at all times.
A successful Academic Coach ensures:
Students are on-task 100% of the time
Work is completed daily—not “attempted”
Learning gaps are identified and addressed immediately
No student falls behind without intervention
If students are not producing work, the system is not working—and the Academic Coach must adjust.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Classroom Management (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Maintain a structured, focused, and productive classroom
Actively monitor behavior, engagement, and work output
Redirect off-task behavior immediately
Establish and enforce daily routines
Ensure all students are working at all times
2. Accountability for Student Work
Track daily assignment completion
Address missing or incomplete work the same day
Maintain accurate and timely grading
Ensure consistent academic progress
3. Multi-Level Instruction & Grouping
Manage classrooms with multiple grade levels simultaneously
Group students based on skill level—not just age
Deliver small-group instruction while others work independently
Ensure no group is idle or disengaged
Adjust pacing and instruction in real time
4. Systems-Based Classroom Management
Implement structured rotations and routines
Train students to work independently
Maintain classroom flow while working with small groups
Ensure productivity continues even when working with one group
5. Instructional Coaching (Active Teaching)
Guide students through:
Google Classroom (or other Learning Management System)
IXL
Khan Academy
Monitor understanding in real time
Ensure mastery—not just task completion
6. Technology Fluency (REQUIRED – NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Academic Coaches must be highly comfortable using technology daily.
This includes:
Navigating and troubleshooting learning platforms independently
Tracking student progress using digital tools
Using LMS systems for assignments, grading, and communication
Adapting quickly to new systems and tools
If you are not confident using technology, this role is not a fit.
7. Parent Communication (CONSISTENT & PROACTIVE)
Maintain ongoing communication with parents
Provide both positive and corrective feedback regularly
Communicate concerns early—never waiting until issues escalate
Share academic progress, behavior, and achievements
Respond to parents professionally and promptly
There should be no surprises for parents.
8. Ownership & Follow-Through
Take full ownership of student outcomes
Solve problems before escalating
Execute expectations without reminders
Maintain consistency and accountability daily
This Role Is NOT for You If:
You are uncomfortable using technology daily
You rely on whole-class instruction to stay in control
You struggle with classroom management
You avoid accountability or difficult conversations
You need constant direction or reminders
This Role IS for You If:
You are structured, organized, and proactive
You can manage multiple levels at once
You hold high expectations and follow through
You communicate clearly with students and parents
You take ownership of results—not just effort
