We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and dynamic educational leader to serve as the Head of School / Principal for our K–6 American international school located in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall academic and operational management of the school. The Head of School will work closely with the leadership team, faculty, and the broader school community to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and holistic student development within a diverse international learning environment.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the continued development of a growing American curriculum school committed to high-quality international education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic leadership and define the long-term vision and development direction of the school.
2. Oversee the academic program and ensure the effective implementation of the American curriculum for students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
3. Lead, mentor, and evaluate faculty and administrative staff to build and sustain a strong professional team.
4. Foster a positive school culture that promotes student well-being, academic achievement, and character development.
5. Strengthen communication and collaboration among staff, students, parents, and the wider school community.
6. Ensure the school operates in compliance with relevant education policies, regulatory requirements, and international school standards in Hong Kong.
7. Manage the daily operations of the school, including academic planning, staffing, and resource management.
8. Represent the school in external relations and develop strong partnerships with educational institutions and community stakeholders.
9. Support the continued growth and development of the school through strategic planning and effective leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Master’s degree or above in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
2. Proven leadership experience as a Principal, Vice Principal, Head of School, or in a senior leadership role in an international or bilingual school.
3. Strong understanding of American curriculum and international education practices, particularly in primary education.
4. Demonstrated leadership in school management, faculty development, and academic program excellence.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
6. Experience working in multicultural and international educational environments.
7. High integrity, strong professional ethics, and a genuine passion for education and student development.
8. Ability to lead a diverse team and build a collaborative and forward-looking school culture.
