Program Overview
Language for the Future is a national education initiative led by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, designed to strengthen English language education across public schools in Uzbekistan.
The program connects students with native English speakers and highly qualified non-native educators who bring not only strong language proficiency, but also cultural awareness, confidence-building communication skills, and real-world classroom experience.
This initiative goes beyond traditional English teaching. It focuses on interaction, curiosity, and meaningful use of language, helping students develop the confidence to communicate in global academic and professional settings.
Why Teach in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is one of Central Asia’s most welcoming and rapidly modernizing countries. More than 1,000 foreign teachers are currently working nationwide under government programs.
The Ministry is committed to providing students with authentic exposure to English, pairing international teachers with local educators to ensure both immediate classroom impact and long-term capacity building.
Teachers benefit from a country that is:
Safe and family-friendly
Modern and affordable
Rich in Silk Road history and culture
Well-suited for both first-time international teachers and experienced educators
Role Structure and Workload
The position is intentionally designed to support impact, collaboration, and work-life balance, with a 28-hour structured workweek:
20 hours of classroom co-teaching alongside local teachers
