Our English Language Arts (ELA) instructors play a central role in developing strong literacy, communication, and critical-thinking skills through innovative teaching and technology integration. Position Summary The ELA Instructor teaches middle and high school students using the StudySync Global digital curriculum. The role emphasizes blended learning, digital competency, and differentiation for diverse learners. Teachers are expected to inspire students, prepare them for post-secondary success, and foster a love of reading, writing, and inquiry. Key Responsibilities Teach engaging lessons aligned with StudySync Global and international standards (CCSS). Develop students’ reading comprehension, writing, speaking, listening, and critical-thinking skills. Integrate digital tools and platforms into instruction and assessment. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of English Language Learners (ELLs) and advanced students. Use formative and summative assessments, including StudySync assessments, to track growth. Prepare students for academic milestones, standardized tests, and future study. Create a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom. Support students’ academic and personal growth, upholding safeguarding policies. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment, school initiatives, and cross-curricular literacy. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Participate in professional development, especially in digital teaching and blended learning. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred). Teaching certification or equivalent qualification. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school. Experience teaching with StudySync Global or other digital/blended curricula. Strong digital competency and confidence using educational technology. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire students and foster a passion for literature and learning.
