Details: Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics teacher to deliver high-quality instruction at the secondary and A-Level stages. The successful candidate will also serve as a tutor, providing academic and pastoral guidance to a designated group of students. This dual role is key to promoting both academic excellence and personal development within our student body.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Mathematics across the secondary and A-Level curriculum (IGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent).
Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to a range of abilities.
Assess student progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Maintain up-to-date records of student achievement.
Serve as a tutor to a group of students, providing mentoring, academic support, and pastoral care.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning and consistent academic standards.
Uphold the values and ethos of the school in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience at secondary and A-Level (preferably in an international or multicultural context).
Familiarity with international curricula such as Edexcel IGCSE, A-Level, or IB.
Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Desirable:
Experience as a tutor or mentor.
