We are seeking someone who feels called to accompany children and youth through a conscious and active pedagogy one that honors nature, community, and the cultural identity of Santa Teresa/Cóbano. Profile We Are Looking For Understands Active Pedagogies: Has practical experience with methodologies such as PBL (Project-Based Learning) to diversify how learning occurs and how knowledge is demonstrated, avoiding traditional frontal teaching. Conscious Facilitator and Observer: Accompanies learners respectfully, supporting them in reflecting on their own processes and strategies, actively promoting Autonomy (the core of Self-Directed Learning). Empathetic Mentor and Guide: Uses Psychology or Social Work skills to understand socio-emotional barriers, build trust, and act as a resource coordinator, offering close and supportive guidance. Bilingual and Culturally Sensitive: Ensures fluent communication in both the first and second language to access global resources and demonstrates the intercultural sensitivity required in the diverse environment of Santa Teresa. Local Context Connector: Lives in and understands the Santa Teresa/Cóbano community, allowing them to anchor learning projects in the area’s geographic, ecological, and cultural reality, making the process authentic and relevant. The candidate must be Native-level English speaker Schedule: From 08:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday, plus one afternoon meeting to coordinate information and maintain alignment with the project’s identity.
