Job Description
Position: Subject Teacher (Cambridge Pathway)
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
• Deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
• Prepare detailed schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Integrate innovative teaching strategies and technology into classroom practice.
• Foster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and independent study skills.
Assessment & Academic Progress
• Assess, monitor, and accurately record student progress using data-driven systems.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Identify and support students requiring additional academic intervention.
• Prepare learners thoroughly for Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and A Level examinations.
Curriculum Development
• Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and review.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards across subjects.
Student Support & Safeguarding
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
• Promote positive discipline and uphold school values of excellence, integrity, respect, responsibility, and innovation.
• Support students’ emotional and social development.
Co-Curricular Involvement
• Participate actively in co-curricular activities, clubs, school events, and enrichment programs.
• Contribute to the broader life of the school community.
Communication & Partnership
• Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership teams.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Cambridge curriculum is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong subject knowledge across one or more listed disciplines.
• Ability to teach a combination of two or more subjects (added advantage).
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• Passion for international education and continuous professional development.
Experience
• Minimum of 2–3 years teaching experience preferred.
• Experience preparing students for international examinations is an advantage.
