High School Science Teacher

Details: BBS International School of Bavaro is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-centered High School Science Teacher to join our international faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.
The successful candidate will teach Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science to students in Grades 9–12 in an English-speaking, college-preparatory environment. We are looking for an educator who inspires curiosity, promotes critical thinking, and creates engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach High School Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science (Grades 9–12).
* Design and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in English.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and academically challenging classroom environment.
* Plan and conduct laboratory investigations while maintaining high safety standards.
* Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
* Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs, including multilingual learners.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress using the school’s learning management system.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Participate actively in school events, professional development, and collaborative planning.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Valid teaching certification or license.
* Experience teaching High School Science (Grades 9–12).
* Excellent English communication skills (native or near-native proficiency).
* Experience in an international or bilingual school is an asset.
* Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
* Ability to integrate technology and inquiry-based learning into instruction.
