Details: Secondary School English Teacher King’s House International School, İzmir – Immediate Start King’s House International School in İzmir is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and committed Secondary School English Teacher to join our growing school. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified English teacher with experience of the UK curriculum who can teach through IGCSE and A Level and who wants to play an important role in developing a growing Secondary School. Wherever possible, we are looking for fully qualified teachers with appropriate teaching qualifications and experience. The Role The Secondary School is still relatively small but is growing. One of the advantages of joining us at this stage is that class sizes are currently small, providing teachers with the opportunity to build strong relationships with students and provide individualised support. The Secondary section has experienced a period where organisation and consistency have not been as strong as they should have been. We are now working to put this right and build a strong, professional and committed teaching team that can take the Secondary School forward in the right direction. The successful English teacher will have the opportunity to contribute not only to excellent classroom teaching, but also to the continued development of the English curriculum, standards and culture of the Secondary School. We Are Looking For A fully qualified English teacher with an appropriate teaching qualification Strong Secondary English teaching experience Ability to teach the UK curriculum Ability to teach IGCSE English Ability to teach A Level English Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment and differentiation Excellent classroom management and organisational skills A commitment to high academic standards A collaborative, professional and positive approach Someone who wants to contribute to building a strong and successful Secondary School Salary & Package Contracts are negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. As a guide, fully qualified and experienced teachers holding QTS would be offered around $ 2,700 and $3,000 USD per month, potentially a little more depending on experience and qualifications. The salary is tax-free. The package also includes: Good-quality apartment provided by the school Flight allowance Turkish national/state medical cover $100 monthly contribution towards household bills One-year contract, renewable by mutual agreement Location – İzmir The school is located in Güzelbahçe, on the outskirts of İzmir, which is a pleasant and relatively easy place to live and work. İzmir offers a good quality of life, excellent food, a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere and easy access to the coast and the wider Aegean region.
