King’s House International School in İzmir is seeking a Secondary School Mathematics Teacher to join our growing school. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and committed teacher who wants to be part of developing a strong, professional and ambitious Secondary School.
Wherever possible, we are looking for fully qualified teachers with appropriate teaching qualifications and experience.
The Secondary School is still relatively small, but it is growing, and one of the advantages is that class sizes are currently small. The Secondary section has experienced a period where organisation and consistency have not been as strong as they should have been. We are now working to put this right and build a strong, professional and committed teaching team that can take the Secondary School forward in the right direction.
There is a genuine opportunity for the right Mathematics teacher to play an important role in developing the school, supporting students and helping to establish high standards across the Secondary section.
The Ideal Candidate
Fully qualified Mathematics teacher with appropriate teaching qualifications and experience
Experience teaching Mathematics at Secondary level
Experience of the UK curriculum is desirable
Experience teaching IGCSE Mathematics is an advantage
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
High expectations of students and a commitment to excellent teaching and learning
Positive, professional and collaborative approach
A genuine desire to contribute to the development of a growing school
Salary & Package
Contracts are negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
As a guide, the salary would be $2,700–$3,000 USD per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary is tax-free.
The package also includes:
A good-quality apartment provided by the school
Flight allowance
Turkish national/state medical cover
$100 monthly contribution towards household bills
One-year contracts, renewable by mutual agreement
Location
The school is located in Güzelbahçe, on the outskirts of İzmir, which is a pleasant and relatively easy place to live and work.
İzmir offers a good quality of life, excellent food, a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere and easy access to the coast and wider Aegean region.
