Details: Due to exceptionally high demand and student enrolment exceeding expectations, Baghdad British International School (BBIS) is expanding its primary teaching team.
We are seeking two qualified, experienced and committed Homeroom Teachers—one for Year 4 and one for Year 5—to join our growing international school in Baghdad as soon as possible.
The successful candidates will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, maintain high standards of teaching and classroom management, and support each student’s academic, social and emotional development.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Primary Education or a relevant subject
• A recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, QTS or an equivalent, is strongly preferred
• A TEFL certificate alone is not sufficient for this position
• Proven experience teaching primary-aged students
• British curriculum experience is highly desirable
• Native-level English proficiency
• Strong lesson-planning, classroom-management and communication skills
• A professional, dependable and student-centred approach
• Willingness to contribute positively to the wider life of the school
• Ability to join as soon as possible
LEGAL WORKING AND VISA STATUS
The school will arrange and support the required visa and legal residency for successful international candidates.
