Details: Position Vacancy: Bible and Chapel Teacher Chiang Rai International School is seeking a caring, engaging, and committed Bible and Chapel Teacher to support our students’ spiritual, moral, and personal development in a diverse international school community. The successful candidate will teach Bible classes and lead chapel sessions that encourage students to develop character, reflect on important life values, and consider how these principles can be applied in their daily lives. Key Responsibilities: Chapel Teaching and Leadership * Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate chapel sessions for students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. * Develop chapel themes around universal values found in biblical teachings, including the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23), love as described in 1 Corinthians 13, and practical wisdom from the Book of Proverbs. * Present biblical principles in an accessible, inclusive, and respectful manner that welcomes students from a variety of faith backgrounds. * Encourage students to reflect on kindness, patience, integrity, forgiveness, compassion, responsibility, and respect for others. * Use stories, real-life examples, discussion, music, and interactive activities to make chapel meaningful and relevant to students’ lives. Bible Classes * Teach Bible classes that provide students with a deeper understanding of Scripture, its historical and cultural context, and its theological significance. * Develop lessons appropriate to students’ ages, abilities, and levels of biblical knowledge. * Encourage thoughtful discussion, critical reflection, and the application of biblical teachings to everyday life. * Foster an environment where students can ask questions, explore Scripture, and develop their understanding of the Christian faith. After-School Activities and Bible Studies (Optional, but welcomed): * Develop and lead optional after-school activities (ASAs), Bible studies, or small- group sessions for students interested in exploring Scripture and Christian faith in greater depth. * Provide opportunities for prayer, discussion, Bible study, service, and spiritual growth in an appropriate and supportive setting. Qualifications and Attributes: * A strong Christian faith and a sound understanding of the Bible. * Experience teaching Bible, leading chapel, working with children and adolescents, or serving in a church or ministry setting. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students across different age groups. * A respectful, compassionate, and inclusive approach to working with students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. * The ability to develop creative, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons and chapel presentations. * A relevant degree in education, theology, biblical studies, or a related field is preferred. Teaching qualifications and international school experience are advantageous.
