teaching english in nepal. anyone have information re paid w...

It seems that there is no TESL market in Nepal for foreign teachers yet. As far as I have heard this is going to change in the very near future. I just received a mail from one of my former TESL teacher training students in Nepal asking me whether I was willing to work as the Principal for the new College they are planning to set up. Currently, they are still in the stage of planning the project....

At the moment, most foreign English language teachers in Nepal are recruited either as volunteers or recruited by some (more dounbtful, I would say) organisations asking for fees to be paid to them if you want to work for them as a volunteer. Please be very, very careful with such offers if you ever should receive any. If they are a scam you might lose money.

If you are interested, I could also ask my former student there to mail me some concrete information about current job opportunities for foreign teachers in Nepal. Please indicate your interest by posting a brief message here.

Hi my name is Robert and I would just like some info on Thailand if you would be so kind, basically I would like to know the chance of arriving in Thailand and finding a teaching reasonably quickly?

Dr, Muhammad Schmidt,

I am hopefully moving to Nepal next April and plan to do voluntary work for a while followed by hopefully a teaching position.I would be grateful if you could tell me what the current job situation is like now?
