Brazil Anybody got any ideas comments or suggestion on teach...

Paul,
It looks like its best just to go and hit the pavement, buy the ticket and get out there.

Best,
David

BTW, let me know if you find any contacts there too.

I am in the same boat. I have arrived in Rio and find many schools but their websites are all in Portuguese. Almost zero job postings. My feeling being here a week is to walk around, offer classes by handing out flyers ,and just leave your info at the schools. It is tough!!

Della I have made some contacts in Brazil. If you would like to connect email me paul_modde@yahoo.ca Paul

David whats your interest in Brazi.

Hey, just walked around the streets yesterday in Niteroi and I have a job
Just timing really. So i will investigate it cautiously. It is with Planet Idiomas. Any comments about this cram school? $50 realis an hour. Hmmm, sounds too good to be true. Lady and establishment is lovely.

Peace,
Della

I find that hiking and cycling are the best ways to see any area...slow looking with my baby eyes!

Hi Della

Good for you on the possible job.Your right it does sound to good to be true. That is a round the going rate for private tutoring.Let me know how it pans out.I have some good contacts in Rio, Sao Paulo, and a friend has a school in Porto Alegre.Does the school have a web site. How long you been in Brazil? You don´t plan on going to the major cities.Let me know how scouting is for private students on top of teaching at the school.best wishes. If you need a translator etc let me know I will put you in touch with Fabio in Sao Paulo or my American friend who has a school.Paul
