Hi,well I guess finding a job in UAE is pretty easy as far as you have a university degree ,TESOL ,but still the new regulation in MOE says you should go through a several interviews at MOE.I´m working in Alain and I feel this will be the last month ,I dont feel like staying here at all.but anyways you can find a good job if you are a qualified teacher.good luck

hey i dont think it is gonna be as easy as you said to find a good job here as most of the schools are running after navite speakers rather than the experience and relevant education but thanks anyway.

Hi, I am starting a job in UAE in October - I´ll be in Madinat Zayed, which is a town about hour and a half from Abu Dhabi, inland, close to the Liwa Oasis.
I don´t have any first-hand experience, but most what I heard about UAE is positive, depending, of course, on who you work for and where you are, and how culturally ´flexible´ you are.
What are your qualifications/experience? I know that employers have a bias towards ´native English speakers´, but a good one will employ non-natives with like-native speech and proper qualifications/experience.
As long as you´re qualified and speak properly and without a strong accent, there are many language schools in Dubai who cater to businessmen/women and who are always looking to hire teachers. You might not make a ton of money, but you´d be able to live comfortably.
I don´t know what else to tell you off the top of my head - it would be really helpful to know your quals/exp :-)

Hi Pinar...my name is Paul from Sacramento CA (U.S.) I spent 3-years in the UAE working for the Higher Colleges of Technology in both Ras al Khaimah and Sharja colleges. They are a great college to work for! I would highly recommend that you contact them. Also I have friends who are working at the American University in Sharja. It is also a good school if you can get in. Let me know if you need any specific informatin. Good luck..... Pau

well dear Annagale, if you are happy in japan i wouldnt suggest coming over here cos there are already too many philipinos here and i cant say they are well paid. it is not as easy as for us to find a job if you are not a native speaker of english. that does not mean that you cannot find anything here though sure you will but it may take some time. the best thing to do is send your cv to couple of places via internet as see how it goes.
good luck
