Does anyone know of the Roland International College in Pata...

Hi Robert,

I too was offered a position with them no interview etc. I tried really hard to find further info with no luck. Apparently a forum on ESLcafe. com has them pegged as a scam so that they can simply get the $250 from you. I say be very wary with this offer. I am choosing to pass b/c it does sound very sketchy.

its a scam do not send any money to the nigerian gentleman involved!!! no such school exists

I got the same offer and there seems to be a number of people who have - perhaps more than they could reasonably have positions to fill. Too bad, I was enthusiastic about Malaysia.

It smells of a scam. Coming should be free and taken care of (except your visa fees in your country of origin (e.g. I paid $60 for my visa to China directly to the consular office in Washington, D.C.).

Chalk up one more. Same too-good-to-be-true offer, same request for $250, and when I sent a list of questions they backed out completely.

No money up front. Sounds like a scam to me, I wouldn´t do it.

I was also offered a position with this school. But as has been said previously, never pay for a position with a school. I also asked for further clarification about the position and never received a reply. Scam!!!

No interview .....no request for references....asking for money up front.....definite SCAM!!!!!

I went to their webpage and they have no info or pics of their faculty. When you click on links nothing happens. When you Google them they do not appear on any listings of schools in the area. They must think we are dumb. They should be banned from advertising on here

That sounds very much like a scam.
Do not send any money and do not waste your precious time on them!
There are so many scammers around in the ETL business!

You should NEVER send money to a recruiter, agency or school. It isn´t necessary. I can guarantee that this is a scam. If you send the money you will never hear from them again. These scams are common knowledge to teachers who have been in the market for some time.Feel lucky that you are being warned. Good Luck Carole
