Now Taiwan. I am seriously thinking about going to Taiwan instead of China. I am presently a professor in the US and in the past I attempted to work at a university in Taiwan with no avail. My wife is suggesting Taiwan for various reasons and is willing to teach elementary herself. My big question is- does anyone knows of a school in Taiwan that would allow ones children to be enrolled while one teaches there? I do not have the talent to teach younger students, she does. No the other guy in the picture is not my wife; that is Sam Donaldson. Thank you.

The demand for elementary teachers is pretty high in Taiwan and I think you can easily find a school that would allow your children to be enrolled in classes. They would probably jump at the opportunity to have the good publicity of a foreign student enrolled. My suggestion is to email the schools directly and tell them the situation.

Scott is right. I lived in Taiwan for several years and am going back this month with my beautiful wife! While I was there, my friend had his teenager in a public school THEY loved him! It was only minimal cost as well. Plus, there are schools that would enroll your children for free because they would be interacting with the other children in English which would benefit them, especially if your wife was teaching at the school. Keep in mind that you can use this as a bargaining chip!!! they might not offer this at first but there are thousands of kindys. God bless, let me know if you have any more questions.
