If it sounds to good to be true, it is. Korea is plagued by horrible ex-used car salesmen now trying to sucker in unsuspecting foreigners. I have personally lived and worked in Korea for 4-years as a soldier and a civilian in business. In fact, over the past few days I have had many contacts from Koreans. The recruiters lie when the truth would sound better.

I read, write and speak Korean and I love listening to them talk around me as they try and scam foreigners and then...I light them up. I told a recruiter the other day I would gladly fly to Korea on my own dime to check him and his "school" out in person. I have many friends there anyway and as I was leaving Asia for Saudi, why not? That conversation quickly ended because he knew his scam was over.

If you are willing to put up with all of the BS Korea offers at least in the teaching sector for around 3000 USD per month if you are lucky, why not go all the way and head into Saudi for 100K per year plus perks? Or in the case of a female applicant, perhaps another similar area.

Korean businesses as a whole, generally do not honor contracts. I would direct you to the US Embassy Web site in Seoul, ROK. They have a section on their Web site about dealing with ESL schools in the ROK.

Shop around, ask questions, and read the fine print. Make sure the contract in Korean is the exact same as it is in English line for line. Just for kicks, go to www.google.com sometime and type in "Korea sucks". You´ll get a few million entries. There is a reason for that.

Virginia if you can´t get the job you are looking for I will GLADLY employ you! To do what I hear you ask. WHO CARES! Just be in the office that´ll do!

sorry but SAUDI does NOT pay English teachers 100K per year. maybe 60K (dollars yes?) but no more.

Hi Virginia, my name is Nurghaan. I don´t know the place but it sounds too good to be true. Oh, and I think your´e so beautiful.
