Hello all, Does anyone know anything about EPIK placement in...

It´s a factory type teacher. They have a good reputation, they will treat you well albeit you remain pro.

(However you might have problems in Kor with a dark skin color ...)

Lawrence, what is a factory type teacher? And, insofar as skin color, I´ll take my chances.

EPIK is the government org that places teachers. It has a good reputation so you are guranteed the money and house etc. the house may be small in Seoul as prices are high. the contract hours is secure etc. You need to understand they have a schedule of payment which goes up with years taught in their system. The difference is that what you contract and what you work are not always the same. So expect a higher demand for your time. I have a black teacher from South Africa near me and I live out of Seoul 1 hour so colour is not always a problem. the key is your attitude and understanding that what is on paper and what you will do is a VERY BIG GREY area.
