I am interested to find a teaching position in Europe. I am a Singaporean with a BA (with education) and billingual in both English and Mandarin. I have been teaching English & Maths to young children.

What European countries would be easier for NON-EU memebers, like me, to find a teaching job?

My race is Chinese, but I grew up speaking English in a English speaking home learning environment. What can I do to stand an equal chance of competing with native English speakers?

Know of any Asians teaching in Europe, or are you one? Care to share your experience?

In the EU working legally is almost impossible for non-Euros. You probably have a better chance trying to teach Mandarin than English, as there is huge interest in Chinese. If you wanted to do an au-pair year that might be easier but does not pay much money. Check with an EU consulate and or cultural associantion like the German Goethe Institute, which might be able to sponsor you.

You can´t get a teaching job or indeed any other job unless you are an EU national. You will be better off getting a teaching job in the middle east teaching in girls school.

You are a native english speaker and can easily get a job anywhere that the employer assists with the visa process.

First...keep in mind that EU means 28 Independent countries...from very very rich to very very poor. Any EU country has regulations regarding granting a work visa.... For instance a Non EU citizen can work in EU with a work visa based on a job offer. Your Mandarin may combined with English may insure you a job offer in a private school or university. I would also try a position within a private trade company with various business interests in China.
