I have been offered a job in China at the National University of Defense in Chansha (Hunan). Has anyone heard of this place, or worked there? I´d appreciate any feedback.

Also, I have experience teaching in China, but the salaries don´t seem to have improved over my last foray there in 2007. I´ve heard people can make decent money there, but I don´t know where!

Dear Alia, the salaries have not really improved since 1991 1992 when I taught at a university in Shandong. For improved money, if that´s the object, the Taiwan and South Korea are the answer, though restrictions are tight. I China, private (commercial) schools seem to be the best answer.

Hi am Danny, i teach in China for one year now.
It has been more of a challenge to survive rather than actually enjoy myself in a class
Salaries are between 4000 to 6000 yuan normally, if you are lucky you can get 6500 or 7000 plus free flat.
