I taught for 3 months last year in Korea - enjoyed it almost 100%. I had many offers that were confusing - then decided to fly over and interview look myself. That was a mistake, since I finally had to fly home to get the work visa and for a death in the family I decided not to return. The best jobs are University - twice the pay, half the hours, and much more freedom to travel, etc... I taught at a Korean Army Language School just outside the Seoul city limits and the students were great (disciplined, military officers). But the armed guards and military formality would have been a bit much for a whole year. The housing was pretty sub-standard as well... I´d do it again! Make sure you get paid at least 2,500 Kw per month with paid utilities in housing! Heat is expensive in Korea and you´ll need it. mike, northern california
